ABOUT JASON

Dedicated to Family and Community

Warren County Commissioner Jason Sarnoski has been a conservative champion for taxpayers with a proven record of accomplishments that have earned him re-election to the Warren County Board of Commissioners four times.

In 2010, Jason was elected to the Board of Chosen Freeholders on a platform of open government, “Voter Approved Bonding”, and strong conservative leadership.

During his tenure, Jason has worked to eliminate county debt and passed a resolution requiring voter approval before any additional debt could be taken on.  As a result, Warren County is now virtually debt free -- the only county in New Jersey in such a strong financial position.  Jason has consistently found ways to reduce county property taxes by driving county spending down 10% below what it was when he entered office.

Nevertheless, under Jason's leadership. Warren County has still delivered effective government winning an award for the most improved library system, consolidating and improving multiple county buildings, and continuing to improve county infrastructure through a “Pay as You Go” philosophy.

Jason also has a proven record fighting the left-wing, woke agenda in Trenton.  He fought Murphy’s Sanctuary State plan, earned the endorsement of New Jersey Right to Life, defended the rights of lawful gun owners to get right to carry permits, and organized a parental rights group to stop the sexualization and indoctrination of our children.

Jason has been a strong supporter of law enforcement and has improved funding for public safety to help catch sexual predators, combat the opioid crisis, and find ways to help those addicted to opioids in Warren County.  He has stood up for small businesses by standing up to Governor Murphy’s COVID mandates and by supporting local businesses like craft breweries that have been severely impacted by Trenton’s onerous regulations.

A lifelong New Jersey resident, Jason's father was a police officer who worked side jobs as a carpenter while his mother was a Catholic School teacher.  He knows what it's like to grow up in a blue collar family with strong family values and what it takes to make ends meet.

A graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Technology Management, Jason has spent his career working in the Utility Industry and currently manages multimillion dollar capital budgets.

Jason has been a major fundraiser and Board Member for the Morris, Sussex, and Warren chapter of the American Red Cross.  With his wife and two high school age children, he supports and volunteers for the Special Olympics of New Jersey and the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County. Jason also volunteers as Santa Claus during Christmas for children in his community.
